A Few of My Favorite Things

We’ve been cooped up in our homes for long enough. We need backup, y’all! This post is not in any way heavy or theological. It’s just a resource for you to have some new stuff to do. These are some of my favorite online resources. There are many yucky, scary voices out there. Hopefully these are encouraging and life-giving options for you.

Podcasts:

Trim, Healthy Mama – (weekly) healthy bodies and minds, faith, relationships. My top favorite!

Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast – (monthly) leadership, personal growth, church.

Elevation Church – (weekly) sermons by Steven Furtick.

The Enneagram Journey – (weekly) personality types, faith.

The Pastor’s Collective – (monthly) hard issues for pastors, church.

Conversations with John & Lisa Bevere – (weekly) faith, relationships, personal growth.

Books:

I am not a reader. The last thing that sounds fun to me after schooling kids all day is to sit and read a book. I know that so many people love it, it’s just not my favorite thing. I use the Libby app that is free and listen to audio books while I am cleaning and cooking. I have made it through 27 books so far this year.

Everybody Always by Bob Goff – faith, loving others, testimonies. THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!

Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist – motherhood, perfectionism, faith. Great read while we are in stuck in tight quarters with our kiddos. 🙂

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero – health, faith.

Worship Songs:

The Blessing – Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes

This is a Move – Brandon Lake and Tasha Cobbs

Nothing Else – Cody Carnes

Defender – Rita Springer

Workout Videos:

Christian Yoga by Caroline Williams – she has had me in tears. She combines stretching and having Jesus time.

Hip Hop Dancing by Kearia LaShae – don’t do this one in front of the hubby or, he will record you and laugh at you! Guaranteed. She has a few different videos that are short and effective.

Instagram Accounts:

@terricajoy – home and garden, faith, family.

@eunameas – faith, hospitality, ministry.

@nestingwithgrace – home, family, lifestyle.

Healthy Recipes (that my kids will actually eat):

P.F. Chang’s Lettuce Wraps – easy, quick, and healthy. My kids chow down on it.

Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken – rich, creamy,and decadent.

Crockpot Jerk Chicken – super easy, tangy, and spicy. Serve with red beans and rice.

I know things are a little upside down right now but you’ve made it this far. You are amazing. The house hasn’t imploded yet! Hopefully these resources will make you smile and give you a few minutes to yourself. Let me know what your favorites are too!

Love,

Tif
